These pH neutralization cartridges are designed with a proprietary blend of Corosex and Calcite. The basic benefit of using Corosex is that it dissolves much faster than Calcite. If the initial pH is less than 6.0, Calcite alone does not dissolve fast enough to correct pH to neutral. Blending the products, allows the pH to be corrected over a more effective range. This filter's specific blend helps to create a balanced product that will deliver a natural effluent without the negative impact of over correction.
